"Conservative style is no substitute for Lib Dem substance" says Andrew
Commenting on the news that Northampton North Conservatives are to pick their candidate for the next General Election through a 'Pop Idol' style meeting Andrew Simpson said "This shows how out of the race the Conservatives are in Northampton North, they really have become so lightweight both in terms of their policies and in terms of having no local campaigners with any standing in our town".
"At the last General Election it was the Lib Dems who saw their vote increase by nearly 7% whilst the Conservative vote hardly moved. Whoever they choose this will be their third candidate in as many elections - local people will not be taken for a ride by style over substance" continued Andrew.
Northampton Liberal Democrats re-selected Andrew as their candidate for Northampton North in May of this year, as a local Councillor for over 11 years he has a record of campaigning for people in the town.
