Lib Dems Launch New Newspaper for Northampton

'Northampton People' - hitting the doorsteps in April

'Northampton People' is the name of the new newspaper for Northampton hitting the doorsteps across the town in the next month. Over 45,000 will be delivered by volunteers to all homes in the Northampton North constituency.

'We wanted to create an informative newspaper that was packed full of local stories around the town but was brief and to the point' said Andrew Simpson Liberal Democrat Parliamentary spokesperson.

The paper has been produced with financial support from the European and Liberal Democrat Reform Group and also features stories from local Euro MP Bill Newton Dunn.

'With the national newspapers so caught up in 'personality politics' and with the local press often missing good local stories we wanted to redress the balance by providing local information and getting people involved in campaigns. So in this issue residents can help our campaign to axe the council tax by signing our front page petition.' continued Andrew.
