Northampton Liberal Democrats were briefed just before the General Election was called by the Campaign Manager behind the election of East Midlands Liberal Democrat MP's Paul Holmes (Chesterfield) and by-election winner Parmjit Singh Gill (Leicester South).

East Midlands Campaign Manager Stuart Bray dropped into Northampton on Sunday to give a confidential briefing to local Parliamentary and County Council candidates. "Northampton Lib Dems have been making great progress in the last few years. The Regional and National party recognise the fantastic potential for success here at this General Election" said Stuart. "Andrew Simpson and his team have been following the 'classic' Lib Dem grass roots campaign which has proved so successful in electing MP's in the Region".

Welcoming Stuart's visit Andrew Simpson Parliamentary Candidate for Northampton North said "It was a major boost to have such an experienced and successful campaigner visit and advise us on the election. The Lib Dem are now challenging Labour in Northampton North."

Stuart Bray's message was simple. "There is all to play for. You can win a parliamentary seat in Northampton and lots of County Council seats."
