Bromley result exposes lack of Tory momentum says Andrew Simpson

Commenting on the result of the Bromley & Chislehurst by-election, which saw the Conservative majority slashed to just 633 votes in a previous safe seat, Lib Dem Parliamentary spokesperson for Northampton North Andrew Simpson said "This result shows that all the talk of Conservative recovery under David Cameron comes to nothing when voters are faced with a clear choice at the ballot box. There is no momentum to the Tory campaign either in Bromley or here in Northampton."

The result was also bad for Labour who were pushed into 4th place behind UKIP and also failed to regain the safe seat of Blaenau Gwent which was won by an Independent.

"Both the Conservatives and Labour are failing people in our Country and these by-elections show increasingly people are turning to the Lib Dems" continued Andrew
