Andrew & Marianne win again in Kingsley

Andrew Simpson,and colleague Marianne Taylor,successfully defended their Borough Council seats in Kingsley ward as the results were announced at the Lings Forum Leisure Centre early Friday evening.

"I am delighted and honoured to have been elected again as Borough Councillor for Kingsley Ward" said Andrew Simpson."We will both as always do our best to serve the people of Kingsley well and keep in touch with them through our Focus newsletter and local campaigns".

Andrew was first elected to represent the area in 1995 whilst Marianne joined him as the second Councillor in 1999.

The full results for Kingsley are:

Andrew Simpson - 1,253 votes (54.7%)

Marianne Taylor - 1,184 votes

Labour - 439 (19.7%)

Labour - 437

Conservative - 400 (17.8%)

Conservative - 393

Green - 197 (7.7%)

Green - 146

Majority - 745.
