In the light of today's further revelations on MP's expenses Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate for Northampton North constituency, Andrew Simpson has published details on his website of his income as a candidate and a local councillor.

"Last year I published an 'Election Covenant' saying I would make clear if elected as MP what my income and expenses were, and that I would not employ family members at public expense under any circumstances, I will advertise all publicly funded jobs in the local press and that my home would remain in Northampton."

"I have therefore today published details of the allowances I get as a local Councillor plus made clear how I support myself as a Parliamentary candidate."

"I will also make clear on my website details of any large donations that are made to my campaign."

"Our whole political system needs sweeping changes, the next election presents an opportunity to do this and get the transparent and accountable democracy we should be proud of".
